INTERNATIONAL COLOUR DAY 2012
An exciting event which will
take place at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark on May 11, 2012.
Here you can listen to talks on how colour is used in our cities, in interiors,
exteriors and in product design.
In
exciting lectures, speakers will discuss interesting questions such as ownership
of colour, organising colour, what leads the choice of colour when new products
are launched, colour trends and much more. This day is dedicated to colour,
gathering famous speakers who will share their experiences, thoughts and
opinions on colour in architecture and design. The talks during the day aim to
inspire and show how we are surrounded by colours. The architect Wim van den
Bergh will explore a colourful part of the world, Mexico, and focus on the
famous architect Luis Barragán’s way to direct architecture like a stage
designer. By doing this he learnt to create an emotional architecture by means
of space, light, colour, texture, material and other means which Wim van den
Bergh will share. Barry Hughes is the Vice President of HOK, a worldwide
organisation that offers the expertise for interior, exterior and landscape
architecture. He will share some of his experiences from his diverse projects,
such as train stations in Japan, master plans for major schemes in the Middle
East and his passion to create dynamic architecture with a fundamental
understanding of the urban realm. These are only some examples to highlight
exciting talks during the day so register
at latest on April 30, 2012 and experience a unique day filled with colour and
inspiration, read
